In the small Spanish town of Zahara de la Sierra, archaeological excavations were carried out. The research area is located near the place where scientists previously found traces of Roman and Islamic civilizations. In the process of exploring the new site, archaeologists came across traces that indicate previously conducted research here.

The team decided not to stop, and a trench was dug in the clay deposits under the mountainside. Some of the clay was black for some reason. Just above this layer, artifacts were found, including an ancient iron candelabra 1.15 m long. The product is a tripod with a long rod. Nearby were 24 bronze coins minted in the second century, some of them Dating back to the reigns of Trajan and Hadrian. In addition, the researchers got a bone hairpin, an earring and a small mortar. According to a preliminary hypothesis, there was a necropolis near one of the access roads to the city, and this site was part of a sacred place (locum sacrum) where residents made offerings.
