The interior design of this Rolls-Royce Phantom car was commissioned by businessman Clarence Gasque for his wife in 1926. The luxury car, also known as the "Phantom of Love" was improved by Charles Clark and Sons. The main requirement was to recreate the interiors of the Palace of Versailles. In the course of improving the car, so many expensive materials were used that in the end the interior was more expensive than the body and other components. Clarence GASK himself did not use the car for long, as he died in 1928, and the Rolls-Royce Phantom remained with his wife until 1952.
