Today, let's take a look at what the village of Verin looked like – a small locality in the Lviv region. Old photos were taken before the Second world war and show the calm beauty of this region in the 1920s and 30s. The first mention of Verin dates back to 1469. The history of the village is very tragic: it was devastated by the hordes of the Crimean Khan, survived looting by the gentry, in 1711 suffered an invasion of locusts, and in 1939 was burned by Polish policemen. In Verin there is an interesting architectural monument – the bell tower of the Church of St. Michael, built in the XVIII century.
