Outstanding Frenchmen: Lviv organized the exhibition "Kings and people"

On October 1, an exhibition opened in Lviv, where 75 works dedicated to famous personalities who made a special contribution to the development of cultural, social and political life in France were presented. As part of The French autumn 2020 festival, paintings and sculptures depicting scientists, writers, thinkers, religious figures, monarchs, etc. were shown. "Kings and men" is the name of a cultural event that makes it clear that all heroes are divided into two main categories. The first group included rulers who were destined to become part of history from birth. The second category consists of people who have achieved high achievements through their efforts and left a legacy.

The exhibition covers the period from the XIII century to the XX century. Among the exhibits are portraits of Joan of Arc, Maximilien Robespierre, members of the Bonaparte family, and others. This is not the first time such a project has been implemented. Previously, exhibitions were held, the Central theme of which was the connection of the Western regions of Ukraine with France and the French. The exhibition "Kings and men" was supposed to be held in April, but the introduction of quarantine forced to postpone the event to the fall.
