In 1977, the politician Jacques Chirac was elected mayor of Paris. Thus, for the first time since 1793, the city had a mayor again. a little earlier, the tallest building in Paris was built – a 57-story structure with a height of 210 meters. The suburb is being expanded and the RER (Réseau Express Régional) railway network is being built to complement the metro. The photos below were taken during this period. Meet the Paris of the 70s.
