Waddesdon Manor is a mansion in the English village of Waddesdon, which is owned by the National trust and managed by the Rothschild Foundation. The building was built in 1874-1889 and is an architectural monument. It was built as a country residence for official meetings, and in the first years the interiors were decorated with exclusive works of art. Every year their number was replenished, and as a result, the mansion turned into a kind of Museum, which contains an extensive collection of beautiful objects.
A large collection of watches from leading watchmakers, cabinetmakers and casters occupies a special place in the collection. Almost all of them work and are located throughout the estate: each room has at least one device. Here you can see masterpieces created by famous masters: Jacques and Philippe Caffiéri, Julien Leroy, Jean-andré Lepaute and others.
