Today we will introduce you to another part of the extensive collection of Nasser D. Khalili. This is a Swedish textile: in total, the collection contains about 100 copies made in the XVIII–XIX centuries. Many items are designed for wedding ceremonies. The drawings depicted symbolize fertility, longevity, wealth, and other aspects of life.

The authors of these works are women who in their free time showed their talents in creating works that reflect folk art. Even today, these creations remain bright and fresh, even though they were made centuries ago. Each of these patterns is a complete work of art, it is unique and inimitable, a sample of handmade work, and not just another copy of mass production. These are tapestries "pigeon tail", woven carpets made of wool, there are products that go back to the tradition of Viking art.

The most common motifs are people, birds and animals, located among the ornaments that form a variety of figures. Carpets and tapestries were found all over Sweden in different years, but now you can see them in this publication.
