Collecting dolls is, rather, the prerogative of women. However, there are many male-owned doll collections. But both those and others are looking for cuteness, good nature and character in dolls. Soviet toys, with all their generality, were not to be occupied with.

The exposed lot is a plastic doll of the early 1960s, made in the USSR. A toy with closing eyes, glued hair and "native" clothing. Movable arms and legs are secured with elastic bands.

For toys made in the 60s and 70s of the XX century, simplicity and conciseness were characteristic. These were dolls, tumblers and dolls-heroes of fairy tales. Along the way, almost every republic produced its own dolls - Ukrainian, Belorussian, Uzbek, etc. Most of them had a childlike appearance, which laid in future mothers a respectful attitude and care for children.

At that time, the production process began to include revolutionary materials, in comparison with papier-mâché, - celluloid and polyethylene. Toys created from them were no longer afraid of moisture, were much stronger than their predecessors. However, most of the dolls still used wood-based pulp.

Since the 1970s, the production of plastic dolls has developed even more. These were the most diverse models: from simple to “talking”, with opening eyes and able to walk. Gradually, the introduction of PVC, rubber, and nylon fiber to create wigs began.

Soviet dolls have come a long way - from simple toys to serious collectibles and investments.
