Arriving in Wales, you can see more than 600 castles, many of which were built during the reign of king Edward I. Some have survived to the present day, others have sunk into the past, and after them there are only ruins. At the end of the 19th century, a series of photographs were taken showing the castles of Wales. Cards are made by photochrom – color images at the end of the last century were more attractive to travelers and became a good advertisement, showing the beauty of architecture, landscapes and everyday scenes.
