Settlement in the Poltava region, near the village Komyshnia was awarded the status of a monument. This historical site was added to the list of recently discovered cultural heritage sites. Here are the remains of a Scythian settlement, the area of the site is 10 thousand square meters. Unfortunately, part of the find was destroyed in the summer by a team of geologists who cut off about 200 m of defensive ramparts.

The uniqueness of the settlement lies in its good preservation. Previously, there was no economic activity here, since the entire territory is occupied by forests. Archaeologists have repeatedly worked nearby, studied Parking lots and burial grounds, but only recently came across the settlement. Probably, the Scythians lived here in the 6th - early 5th century BC. the Settlement consisted of two parts: a small and a large courtyard. The living quarters were inhabited by warriors, diggers, artisans, and merchants. The entire territory was protected by defensive ramparts, whose height today is 3-4 meters. Despite the past centuries, their contours have been preserved.

The settlement was discovered by accident when geologists were clearing a site for the construction of a gas well. After the operation of the bulldozer, ceramic objects, arrowheads and other artifacts were found on the surface. Many arrows were lying near the rampart, which indicates an attack on the settlement. It may be associated with the famous Belsky settlement, and was also attacked by the Royal Scythians in the early 5th century BC.
