Rome, which suffered almost no damage during the Second world war, although it survived the German occupation in 1943-1944, has many beautiful buildings that can be found on every corner. Squares with fountains and obelisks, Bernini colonnades and marble colossi, temples decorated with amazing frescoes - all of them deserve no less attention than the famous Colosseum. These photos, taken in 1954, show the architecture of Rome, as well as a part of the daily life of the citizens.
