Together with the coin dedicated to Slavyansk, the NBU presented another numismatic novelty, which was released in honor of the Cossack chronicler samoilo Velichko. This year marks the 350th anniversary of the birth of the chronicler and the 300th anniversary of the end of writing the chronicle (it is believed that the last events mentioned by the author date back to 1720). The text of the chronicle is presented in the literary language of the XVIII century, it can also be found interspersed with folk speech. In October of this year, the full edition of the book was presented in the form in which it was conceived by Velichko.

The obverse shows an overturned inkwell and a sheet of paper on which is written "Litopis Samil velichka 1720". The nominal value is indicated below – 10 hryvnias. On the reverse side, a fragment of the chronicle is written inside the profile silhouette that belongs to the Cossack. This is an image of the author: on the left is a pen with another indication of the author's name. The author's years of life are shown on the right: 1670-1728. The coin is made of silver, the circulation was 3 thousand copies.
