"Back to the future": a new coin is released in Niue for the 35th anniversary of the film

This fall, Niue presented a coin issued in honor of the 35th anniversary of the premiere of the first part of the fantastic trilogy "Back to the future". The new Zealand $ 250 coin is made of 999 gold, with a diameter of 40 mm and a weight of 31.1 g. Only 50 copies were Produced. The obverse shows the profile of Elizabeth II, in addition to data about the coin (year, country of issue, denomination), there is a sign of the author of the portrait - "IRB". On the reverse, above the image of the improved car DeLorean DMC-12, among the lightning bolts, you can see the inscription "BACK TO THE FUTURE 35".

The first film of the trilogy was released in 1985. In 2007, the film was added to the archive in the National film registry. It is often included in the TOP of the best science fiction films. The car in which the main character travels through time has become one of the most recognizable cars, one of the versions is now in the Petersen Automotive Museum.
