The US Post Office has prepared a new stamp from the series "Literary Art", dedicated to Ursula Le Guin, the author of science fiction novels and novellas, who is known primarily as the author of the series "Earthsea". The stamp depicts a portrait of the writer, based on a photo from 2006. The author of the drawing is Donato Giancola. In the background, you can see an illustrated scene from the 1969 novel The Left Hand of Darkness.

Ursula Le Guin was born in Berkeley (California), in her books she raised topics that echo Taoism, feminism, psychology, and anarchism. She has received awards in fiction such as the Hugo Award, Nebula Award, and The Locus Poll. The first story was sent to the magazine at the age of 11, but it was rejected. Regular publications began to appear in the 1960s.
