A silver banknote with a portrait of Lesya Ukrainka was issued

Another collector's novelty, dedicated to the Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka, pleased connoisseurs of rare banknotes. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the poet's birth on January 21, a silver banknote with a nominal value of 200 hryvnia was issued. Its image is exactly the same as on a regular banknote of the same denomination of the sample of 2019.

The banknote is made of 999 silver. The size of one copy is 133x66 mm. A thickness of 1.35 mm. The circulation was only 300 copies. On the front side there is a portrait of Lesya Ukrainka and a water lily (optical protective element SPARK), on the back side - the entrance tower with the main gate of the Lutsk castle. A similar paper banknote is made in pink, its size is slightly larger - 148x75 mm. The bill has been in circulation since February 25, 2020.
