For the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Mactan, the Philippines issued a new banknote

The Philippines marked the anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Mactan by issuing a new 5,000-peso banknote. The bill was officially presented on January 17. On the front side is a portrait of the chief Lapu-Lapu, who lived in 1491-1542. Behind you can see the fighting figures on one side and the warship on the other. The reverse side shows an eagle on the background of mountains.
