In Khmelnitsky, there is a museum of the history of mines, a collection of objects displayed as an exhibition was collected by a military sapper Yevgeny Guk. In the museum you can see several hundred explosive devices of different designs. At first, soldiers who participated in the Afghan war gathered in this room, now you can get acquainted with the evolution of mechanisms that are used in mines of different types. There are even copies used by secret units here.
Some booths display military stationery and books of the relevant subject. There are also modern exhibits found on the battlefield in the eastern part of Ukraine. Those interested in rare and unusual rarities will find in the museum a book about sapping, published in 1897, miniature devices (pens, cigarette cases and other similar items) with fuses – such weapons are intended for sabotage. The organizer plans to expand the collection, move it to a larger room and add a more detailed description to each exhibit.
