Sarah Ann Featon is a New Zealand artist who has also worked in the field of botany. Her illustrations have graced four beautiful stamps released in New Zealand on May 5. Denominations: 1,4/2,7/3,5/4 new Zealand dollars. The format of a single copy is 30x40 mm. The format of the miniature sheet is 80x95 mm. One sheet consists of 25 stamps. Each leaf is dedicated to a specific plant: clematis paniculata (Puawānanga), corynocarpus smooth (Karaka), clianthus (KōWhai-ngutu-kākā), Campbell Island daisy.
Little is known about the early years of Sarah Ann Fiton. She was born in England, moved to New Zealand, and worked on an important work called The Art Album of the Flora of New Zealand. In this country, the album was the first full-color edition and contained systematically presented information about flowering plants.
