The value of antiques is determined, first of all, by the market. It is he who indicates how much an antique thing costs, for how much it can be bought or sold.

Value can be artistic, cultural, historical. For example, if Napoleon was sitting in this chair, he certainly is of interest. And even if this chair is not nice.

If an old thing of mass production, it will be cheaper. A limited series or an exclusive edition will add value to it.

There is no direct correlation between the age of antiques and its value. During the assessment, other factors are taken into account: the appearance, the level of preservation, the relation to the historical period, and so on.
