On the Ternopil region, the burial of the UNR soldiers shot

On the territory of the Ternopil region excavations of the mass burial ground of the soldiers of the UNR, shot in 1918-1920, began.

Archaeologists received all the relevant permits for excavation and research of human remains.

"For the first time in the history of independent Ukraine in our Lanovtsy excavations of the graves of soldiers of the UPR are carried out.For more than a year the collective of the city council and indifferent residents have worked hard to establish the historical fact of the shooting of fighters for Ukraine's freedom," said the mayor of Lanovtsev Roman Kaznovetskiy.
