In the gypsum cave "Optimistic" near the village of Korolyovka in the Ternopil region, the deepest underground lake of Ukraine "Mikron" was discovered.
Lake depth of 5-6 meters with crystal clear water, and a stable temperature of 7 ° C in winter and summer and a surface area of about 500 square meters.
Opened by his lutsk cave explorer Igor Trotsyuk in April 2018.
According to the researcher, the path to the lake can be overcome only by moving on his knees for two hours.
This is the first such a large pond in the cave. Today the cave lake is explored by people of a very rare specialty - speleoadivers. With fins, in wetsuits and with oxygen tanks try to pass the lake under water.
