Both along and across: in Vinnytsia was rummageda scythian mound

In the Ilinets district of Vinnytsia region, the Scythian mound was plundered.

"There are many mounds of Scythian time in the Ilinets district of Vinnytsia region. They are well known in the literature and are considered the reference for their region. Recently it was discovered that one of them, located to the north-west of the village of Kalnik, was completely looted" - was reported by the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The miners dug the mine through the center of the embankment and the central burial chamber. Two smaller pits were dug from the southeast side of the mound. Completely dug southwest slope.

"This indicates that the robbers acted thoroughly and with knowledge of their business. Judging by the tracks, the robbery was committed only recently - late winter or early spring. Particularly offensive is that marauders, apparently, did not hide their actions and were not afraid for possible consequences. After all, the mound is clearly visible from both the village and the Dashiv-Ilyintsy highway" — the institute added.
