17-meter papyrus sold at auction in Monaco

In Monaco, a scroll of the ancient Egyptian papyrus was sold, which contained the “Book of the Dead” version.

This ancient artifact is represented by 192 chapters and includes hymns, religious texts, as well as drawings in black and red.

According to auctioneers, a copy of the “Book of the Dead” dates back to 595–589 BC, when Pharaoh Psammetikh II rules in Ancient Egypt.
 
The ancient Egyptian papyrus with a length of 17 meters was sold for 1.35 million euros.
