NBU put into circulation two coins dedicated to the Dnipro marina

The National Bank of Ukraine issued two commemorative coins from the "Flora and Fauna of Ukraine" series. This event was timed to the World Environment Day.

These are metal coins with a face value of 10 and 2 hryvnias "Marena Dneprovskaya". They were dedicated to the fresh-water flock of the fish family of the Cyprinidae family. Marena Dniprovskaya is listed in the Red Book of Ukraine and the European Red List.

The obverse of the coins is framed by a wreath of fragments of flora and fauna. Above is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, below - the year of coinage and on the coin 2 hryvnia - the logo of the banknote-mint. In the center - face value of 2 and 10 hryvnia. In the upper part of the reverse of the coins, it is written "Marena Dneprovskaya". At the bottom is the name of the fish in Latin. On the back of the 2-hryvna coin, the Dnieper's moraine is depicted against a pebble and seaweed background with a color seal. On the 10-hryvnia coin the fish is placed above the stylization of the river bottom on a mirror background.
