New rounding rules: from 1 July 2018 small coins for delivery in Ukrainian stores will not be used
From July 1, 2018 in Ukrainian stores the rounding of the total sums of cash settlements will be applied. The rounding rules will be fair and transparent for both sides of the calculations.
"The application of the rules for rounding up the general sums of cash settlements will simplify the daily calculations of citizens and will allow reducing the state's spending on coinage and securing monetary circulation for more than 90 million hryvnia a year," the National Bank says.
From July 1, 2018, coinage and issuance of coins with denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 25 cents will be terminated. Continue chasing and issuing only coins with denominations of 10 and 50 kopecks.
