An old button with the image of a winged wolf was found in Volhynia

On the shore of Lake Pulemetskoe, in the vicinity of the village of Zalesye in the Volyn region, an ancient button was found on the territory of the ancient settlement. On one side there is a winged wolf, on the other there is a tab for sewing to clothes.

According to scientists, the find is dated XIII-XIV centuries. The thickness of the button is 1.5 mm, diameter 25 mm. Material of manufacture is bronze.

The winged wolf is known in the mythology of the Middle East. They were called Simarglom.
