This is a selection of photos stored in the Austrian State Archives. They depict the destroyed buildings of Lviv and its concerned inhabitants during the Second World War. These people are looking for something, sell, change. In 1942, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army was created, which began military operations against the Germans. Two years later, the UPA, together with the Home Army, tried to take control of the city, but on July 27, 1944, the Red Army occupied Lviv.
