The Dutch company Concr3de made a proposal to restore parts of the Cathedral of Notre Dame on a 3D printer.

“Using the wreckage of the Cathedral of Notre Dame, we propose a way to restore the cathedral’s structures. Combining a mixture of limestone and ash, we can make part of the reconstruction, combining old materials with new production technologies, thus respecting the history of the creation of the cathedral,” the company noted.

A trial version of the demon statue sitting on the roof of the cathedral has already been printed. The sculpture was created from a mixture of limestone and ash - materials similar to those that remained after the fire.

Recall Notre Dame Cathedral was significantly affected by the fire that occurred on April 15. Fire destroyed the main spire and two-thirds of the wooden roof of the cathedral. Two towers and a facade survived. Also managed to evacuate and preserve the main spiritual relics and treasures of the Cathedral of Notre Dame.
