The Royal Mint of Great Britain issued a coin with the image of the great detective Sherlock Holmes. The numismatic novelty was timed to the 160th anniversary of the writer Arthur Conan Doyle.

The series of coins with a nominal value of 50 pence is called the Art of Deduction. The front side shows the profile of the great detective, his name and the names of the works of Conan Doyle, of which he is the hero. On the back of the coin is the profile of Queen Elizabeth II.

The cost of coins varies from 10 pounds to 795 pounds. The most expensive coin is made in gold. In honor of the writer's jubilee, the Mint also announced a quiz on the site, the winner of which will receive a coin made in silver.
