Irina Pap is the most famous woman photographer in the Ukrainian SSR. This miniature woman was pulling not only kilos of photographic equipment on her shoulders, but also virtually the entire photographic education of Soviet Ukraine. Her lens always managed to catch the spirit of that time.
As a Izvestia correspondent, she photographed many celebrities. Politicians, sportsmen, artists, and scientists got into its lens. In the pictures of Irina Pap is Khrushchev and Castro.
She recorded the rapid development of the 50-60s: the construction of the Kiev metro and the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the first "Khrushchev" and "Zaporozhtsy". Of course, such work involved many ideological restrictions. But Irina Pap managed not to turn into a banal agitator and preserve the veracity of those years.
