A little more than a month ago, the British Auction House Silverstone put on sale a 1956 Bentley S1 pickup truck.
First, the sedan was purchased in London by Charles Lloyd-Jones, and later resold to Australia. There, by the order of Count Stradbrock Kita Ros, it was converted into a pick-up truck.
A cargo platform was installed with wooden guides for the carriage of goods instead of the back row, where the passengers were to be located. Native body S1 was replaced by a modified from the R-Type sedan, which added the wheelbase of 76 mm.
Then the car was painted in bright yellow color, retaining on the body the logo of the previous owner - Mount Fyans Black Angus Herd.
Under the hood of a pickup is a 4.9-liter inline six-cylinder engine, which implements 178 horsepower and is combined with a four-band "automatic".
In 2012, the Bentley S1 of 1956 returned to the UK, where it became the property of the person who put it up for auction at a British auction. The exact price of the car is not yet advertised, but according to experts it should have varied from 32,500 to 39,000 dollars.
