These pictures of the First World War were taken in the village of Pomoryan in the Lviv region.

Once, the Golden Lipa river, starting from the village of Koropets to the town of Berezhany, was so huge that it looked like the sea. That is why the settlement that grew over it, was named Pomoryans.

In 1914, an Orthodox priest lived in Pomoryan, who took away all valuables from the local church. The royal army took the bells from the bell tower.

This photo compilation allows you to see the soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian army on the territory of the village of Pomoryany and the buildings of the village of that time.
