Ukraine of the late 80s in the works of Western photographers

These photos were taken in Ukraine by two foreign photographers - Bruno Barbie and Carl de Keyser - at the end of the 80s. Let's all look at Yalta, Odessa, Kiev, Lviv. Many of these cities, streets and buildings will seem very familiar, but someone will see them for the first time.

The pictures show Donetsk miners, a synagogue in the city of Chernivtsi, Orthodox priests of Odessa, who bless food for Easter. Also, the newlyweds at the Central Wedding Palace in Kiev, chess players and casual spectators in Lviv Park, sunbathing in the favorite resort of Yalta.
