The reconstruction of the deep Slavic housing of the 9th-10th centuries was shown by employees of the Ancient Plisnesk Historical and Cultural Reserve.

According to scientists, the deep Slavic housing of the 9th-10th centuries, although it was not an architectural masterpiece, already had its own rational layout. It was a sub-square structure with dimensions of 2.8 × 2.8 m and 3.2 × 3.2 m. Its roof was covered with straw or reeds. There was no ceiling in such a house. In order to keep the heat "not going away", its ground part was surrounded by roll-like mounds of earth.

But, relying only on verbal descriptions, it is rather difficult to imagine what this dwelling looked like. With the assistance of the program We are creating an innovative cultural product - the UKF program. In-depth Slavic housing of the 9th-10th centuries was modeled. Scientists also took into account the materials of archaeological excavations from Plisnesk. Together with archaeologists, ethnologists, architects and IT specialists worked on this project.

It is planned to reconstruct dwellings of other types and periods, industrial and utility buildings, defensive lines and places of worship.
