In September, a new commemorative 10 Euro investment coin dedicated to the ancient Greek poet and musician Alcaeus was made in Greece. The release was part of the "Greek culture" series. Silver coin with a diameter of 44 mm and a weight of 34.1 g is issued as Proof with a smooth edge. With a circulation of 1200 copies.

The obverse depicts a composition that recreates a classic scene: Alcaeus stands next to Sappho, holding a lyre. On the reverse you can see the profile of the poet, the sign of the mint, the name of Alcaeus in Greek. Alcaeus lived in VII-VI centuries BC, was a representative of musical and song lyrics.
