Recently on Violity was exhibited a wonderful example of painting a picture of Adolf-Konstantin Baumgartner-Stoilova "Cossack March". Oil painting on canvas 88x78 cm sold in perfect condition and in a massive frame for 62 520 UAH. All details about the auction are available at the link.

The author was born in Bulgaria in 1950. Having studied in the 1880s at the Academy of arts in St. Petersburg, he devoted his life to painting. He is known as the author of works depicting scenes of hunting and racing, painted horses. In the paintings of Baumgartner-Stoilov noticeable skill with which he portrayed the play of light and shadow. Many of his works are reproduced in magazines of the late XIX century. His paintings are kept in European museums and private collections. Periodically, some of his works appear on sale at auctions, and immediately attract the attention of collectors.
