Painting Erb Erno purchased for 50 100 hryvnia

At the auction Violity purchased another painting-the work of Erb Erno (1878-1943) called "Market. Tradeswomen". Oil painting painted in the 1930s on cardboard, at the bottom you can see the signature of the author. The cost of the lot was 50 100 hryvnia. Erb Erno is a Ukrainian artist who studied at the Cesar-Royal state industrial school, in the Department of drawing, modeling and decorative painting. The master collaborated with the vaudeville theater in Lviv. In the 20s of the last century he was engaged in easel painting. During his studies at the Berlin Academy of Arts he was influenced by the expressionist M. Lieberman. He was a member of the Association of independent Ukrainian artists. Many of Erno's paintings are kept in European museums. He devoted his work to Lviv landscapes, was interested in everyday scenes.
