A painting of the XIX century was purchased for 29 800 UAH

"The city Kirchdorf" is a painting by the famous French artist Jules Andre (1807-1869), which in early February found a new owner. At the end of the auction on Violity, which was followed by almost 50 auction participants and those interested in art, the landscape was purchased for 29,800 hryvnia. The picture is painted in oil on a canvas of 70x100 cm and placed in a beautiful frame.

The author was born in Paris, studied with andré Alivera and Louis Etienne Valle, mainly created landscapes. The artist traveled to Belgium, often visited the South of France, and visited Germany. In addition, the painter worked at a porcelain factory in Sevres.

Andre's paintings combine the style of classic French landscape painters and the style of the modern school. His decorative works adorn the Hôtel d'albe and the Louvre Palace. He received the second class medal in 1835 and the Legion of Honor in 1853. He died at home, in Paris, in 1869. Andre Jule's works are kept in private collections, in the gallery of the Luxembourg Museum in Paris and the Museum in Lille.
