Dream of a bibliophile: sold 9-volume "History of mankind" for 25,000 hryvnia

"History of mankind. World history" is a second-hand book collection consisting of nine volumes. This lot was sold on Violity for 25,000 hryvnia – now the publication adorns the collection of the bibliophile. The books printed in 1903 under the editorship of G. Helmolt have been preserved in excellent condition. Only part of the spine in the seventh volume has been restored.

All nine books are a collection of works whose main themes are Ethnography and the history of civilization. Inside, you can find many illustrations and maps on separate sheets. The hardcover is covered with calico, and you can see gold lettering on the spine. Inside there is a silk ribbon. The number of pages varies from 570 to 770 p. A separate volume contains additions and a General index. The books are printed at the printing house of the partnership "Enlightenment". The translation from the original text was made with some explanations. Thanks to the information Foundation laid in books, it is possible to build a General picture of the development of all mankind on earth.
