In March this year, Tokelau issued a commemorative gold coin with a face value of 100 dollars in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, or rather, those six portraits of her that adorn the coins of great Britain and its colonies, dominions and protectorates over the past few decades. The new product is released as Proof, sold in a special case with a certificate of authenticity. The circulation is only 150 copies. The weight of the coin is 31.1 g, the diameter is 38.61 mm. The obverse contains the last portrait of the ruler, which can be seen on coins of recent years. The reverse is decorated with all six portraits that have been used in the design since 1952. At the same time, collectors have the opportunity to purchase silver copies with a face value of 5 dollars – this version is issued in a circulation of 2 thousand pieces.

Tokelau is a territory administered by New Zealand. It consists of three Islands in the Pacific ocean. In 1889, this territory accepted the protectorship of great Britain, and in 1925 passed to New Zealand. The name translates as "North wind", but until 1916, another name was known – Union Islands, or "United Islands".
