Nepal is a country located in the South of Asia, bordering China and India, very close to the borders of Bangladesh, a little further – Bhutan. It is in Nepal that you can climb the highest mountain on Earth – mount Everest. Most of the country is located in the mountains and is famous for its rich nature and several national parks. Nepal flourished in the XIII-XVII centuries, when representatives of the Malla Dynasty were in power. In 1768, the capital of the state became the city of Kathmandu. These photos, taken in the 1980s, offer a close-up look at Nepalese life.
