Butterfly checkered fritillary now on the stamp with a nominal value of 0.9 euros

In Estonia, the printed stamp with the image of a butterfly – checkered aurinia. The 0.9 Euro stamp depicts a butterfly opening its wings. The size of the copy is 35x26 mm, the new product appeared on sale in mid-June. Philatelists can purchase a collector's version of the stamp in one block and a set of four copies.

The checkered fritillary – butterflies, which belongs to the family Nymphalidae. The insect has brown wings with yellow and orange spots, and light and dark areas alternate in the drawing. Insects live in the Central and southern parts of Europe, in China, Mongolia, Korea, Morocco, Algeria, and Central Asia. The name "fritillary" is derived from the word denoting the Germanic peoples, the priestess or wise woman.
