Lithuania presented a commemorative coin with a face value of 10 euros, adding it to the Series "Nature of Lithuania". The new product with a circulation of 2.5 thousand copies was called "Wood beekeeping" and was launched in late summer. The coin is made of 925 sterling silver, weighs 23 g, and has a diameter of 34 mm. The project was developed by the artist Vytautas Narutis.
In the center of the obverse is an image of a horseman, which can be seen on the coat of arms of
Lithuania. It looks like a swarm of bees surrounded by honey combs. It shows the year of issue, the denomination, and the mint mark. The reverse side shows the name of the coin "DREVINĖ BITININKYSTĖ", in the center a beekeeper, tying himself with a rope to a tree, extracts honey. A swarm of anxious insects flies in front of him.
