Nagoya is one of the largest cities in Japan. This is the most important commercial and industrial center, where the trade routes of the Western and Eastern regions of the country converge. The first settlements appeared here during the Paleolithic period. In the middle ages, there were several smaller towns on the territory of the modern city. After the construction of the castle was completed in 1610, a large settlement was formed around it, which became the heart of Nagoya. These photos were taken in the 1950s, the decade when the metro was launched and the city was given the status of state significance.
