The paper Museum has been operating in Zmiev for the second year

In the city of Zmiev (Kharkiv region) there is an interesting Museum where you can learn the history of paper creation, as well as see how it is processed. The paper Museum opened two years ago. The building in which it is located is unique in itself, since it was built more than 125 years ago. The Museum aims to introduce everyone to the history of the paper industry. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to learn about modern environmental technology that is used during the production of materials in the world and at the factory in Zmiev.

Among the exhibits, special attention should be paid to machines and various printing equipment, including devices of the early XX century. Thanks to the help of volunteers, the Museum collected a large number of samples of paper, as well as products made from this material. Some of the items presented were made more than 200 years ago. The Museum also offers guided tours of laboratories and workshops that demonstrate the process of creating paper for books.

In 1893, a paper mill started operating in Zmiev. At first, two steam engines were used as equipment to produce wrapping paper. The Museum has an exhibition "Memory", which presents photos that can be used to learn about key events in the life of the company.
