The scale model of the Volga GAZ-3102 is another interesting lot on the Violiti website. Its prototype - "new second" or "thirty-first" at one time was the flagship of the Gorky Automobile Plant with numerous technical innovations. Now these are memories stored in garages or enclosed in scale models.

The exposed lot is Volga GAZ-3102 orange, 1:43 scale with its original packaging. Model with moving parts - front and rear doors, trunk lids and bonnet. On the bottom of the car, there is an inscription that indicates the place of production and its scale.

Initially, scale models of cars were created from ferrous metals by casting in earthen molds. Later they were replaced by zinc alloys and metal molds.

Since the 1930s, scale modeling has taken off to a new level. The models became more and more perfect: the surfaces of the case are smoother, the joints are less noticeable. But, despite this, they still remained quite simple - there were no glasses, chrome parts or discs were visually indicated by silver paint.

In the late 1950s, with the introduction of plastics into production, individual interior parts began to appear - seats, dashboards, steering wheels. Their coloration took place after casting.

As for modern models, they are already as detailed as possible. Moreover, this manifests itself both outside and inside. And the fact that every plastic part already has a color before molding adds to the multi-color of the salons.
