Recently in Nevitsky castle archaeologists examined the donjon – the Central tower. During the research, many finds were found: crossbow arrowheads, fragments of ceramic tiles, as well as ceramics in the form of bulbs. They try to restore the tiles by arranging the individual parts in the correct order and gluing them together. Scientists believe that the pottery was made in the XVI-XVII centuries. Judging by the way the artifacts were stacked (they were found in one place), people had previously visited this place in search of rarities. The presence of construction debris suggests that in the twentieth century, someone has already made attempts to restore the structure.

The finds were found in the basement, which came across during the restoration of the donjon. As a rule, such cellars were used for storing food and wine. But the weapon was unlikely to be there because of the high level of moisture. In the future, the premises may be opened to the public, but in the meantime, employees are strengthening the Foundation.
