New Year cards are produced from year to year, and it is very easy to recognize them by their unchanging attributes: Christmas trees and tree branches, Christmas decorations, snowflakes. In addition to official and commercial postcards, there are charity issues, as well as unique handmade copies. The postcards presented below were issued in the late XIX – early XX century. They are united by two themes: The New Year and the dwarves. This little people is known to us thanks to Western European mythology, from folklore the dwarves have passed into modern fantasy works, games, movies. The creators of postcards did not ignore the short men, adding their image for the design of their products.
