Operation "Danube": Soviet troops in Prague

On August 21, 1968, at 2am, the Soviet An-24 passenger plane requested an emergency landing at the Prague airport Ruzyne. From the plane landed soldiers of the 7th Guards Airborne Division. These photos show how the operation "Danube" began, which put an end to the reforms of the Prague Spring.
