What unites the "House with chimeras", the Church of St. Nicholas and the Karaimskuy kenasa in Kiev? This is one of the most famous works of architect Vladislav Gorodetsky, who was born in Vinnytsia. But among the projects of the master are little-known creations. Here are 5 of them.

Beer factory on Podol
 
This building is located in Podolsky district of Kiev, on Kopylovskaya street. It was built in 1913 by order of the father-in-law of the architect - the German brewer Joseph Marr. This factory produced soda drinks, canned food and juices. Now they produce vitamins and medicines.

Zemsky hospital in Moshny
 
The architect often visited the landlords of the Balashovs in the village of Moshny of the present-day Cherkassy district. He was ordered a hospital project, which was opened on November 9, 1894. Until today, only the hospital building and the house of physicians have been preserved here.

Potocki Mausoleum in the Cave

In 1904, Gorodetsky built a crypt of Polish Potocki nobility in the village of Peshchera, Tulchinsky district, Vinnytsia region. For this work, the architect did not even take payment. Now in the upper part of the crypt there is a Catholic church of St. Andrew Bobola.

Railway station in Tehran

The last years of his life the Ukrainian architect spent in Tehran. He designed the railway station of the capital, which was opened in 1929. Together with this building Gorodetsky was the author of the project and the station square.

Facade of the furniture factory in Kiev

The trading house of the furniture factory of Joseph Kimera is located on the modern street of the architect Gorodetsky, 13. Once upon a time in this house the owner of the enterprise lived. Vladislav Gorodetsky has developed a project for the facade of the building. In 1941, almost the entire house was burnt, only its facade remained.
